The General Services Administration has moved forward on a Request for Lease Proposal to procure spaces for employees of the Census 2020 initiative.
The GSA Automated Advanced Acquisition Program — a multiple-award procurement tool that allows building owners to compete for numerous federal leases with a single offer — started collecting information on building spaces July 13.
These short-term leases across the United States and Puerto Rico will allow Census employees to collect vital information that helps determine accurate distribution of federal funding and congressional districts.
Additional information on requirements for specific projects and locations can be found at www.fbo.gov by using the keyword/solicitation # "17-CENSUS" or in a consolidated list at www.gsa.gov/census2020.
To submit a vacancy — or view additional information — an offeror should register an account with the AAAP platform.
The second wave of collections for remaining locations will begin by Oct. 2017.
