The state official who oversees Nebraska’s developmental disability services is leaving her post for a new federal job, officials announced Wednesday.

Courtney Miller is leaving the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services after serving as the director of the agency’s division of developmental disabilities. Miller has been named the Medicaid and CHIP Operations Group director within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her last day in the state job will be April 4.

Tony Green, the deputy director for Nebraska's Division of Developmental Disabilities, will serve as interim director.

Miller has worked for the state for 20 years. She was appointed to her current job by Gov. Pete Ricketts in December 2015.
