Angela Colter announced via Twitter that she would be taking over the role of acting executive director at 18F, a component of the General Services Administration’s Technology Transformation Service that partners with other federal agencies to develop and deliver digital services.

Colter previously served as the director of strategy at 18F and has been with the agency since February 2016. She takes over from Rebecca Piazza as executive director.

Colter said in a 2016 blog post that she was inspired to join 18F after hearing about the work done by the U.K.’s Government Design Service and decided that if there was ever something similar in the U.S., she would want to be a part of it.

Victor Udoewa will take over from Colter as strategy director at the agency.

Jessie Bur covers federal IT and management.
