The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking to bridge gaps in its training programs with innovative solutions.
In a request for proposals released Dec. 21, the VA identifies the Simulation Learning Education and Research Network (SimLEARN) Educational Gaming section of its programs as a way to assist healthcare providers, practitioners and support personnel with a means of training anyplace and anytime.
The department is looking to award up to four indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts to registered and verified service-disabled veteran-owned small business offerors capable of developing the gaming strategy framing, learning management system and front-end components.
Contractors interested in the task orders will be required to demonstrate dynamic, self-developed educational games that showcase a command of consistent, high-resolution, anatomically and environmentally correct animations.
